Please find here a PHE press release on advice issued by JCVI on COVID-19 vaccination of children and young people. Also, a supporting statement from the Health and Social Care Secretary.

Children aged 12 – 15 will shortly be able to get COVID vaccinations if they have a condition which puts them at serious risk from COVID or if they live with someone who is immunosuppressed. Young people will also be offered a vaccination 3 months before their 18th birthday so that they can have both doses before they turn 18.

The NHS has been asked put this into action as soon as possible.
