Navigating Periprocedural Risks: MSK Injections and Anticoagulation Management

The presentation Navigating Periprocedural Risks: MSK Injections and Anticoagulation Management, by Dr Carol McCrum, was recorded during the 2025 PCRMM Navigating the Future of MSK Health: Evidence, Experience & Patient Voice Study Day on 13^th September 2025. Carol is currently in an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist role in Rheumatology, Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery/Spinal services and has undertaken Injections within her clinical roles since 2000 and she has supported colleagues’ injection skill development across that time. Carol is a Non-medical prescriber and was responsible for developing and updating Patient Group Directions to support injection clinical practice by non-prescribing colleagues. She has a research interest both clinical effectiveness and procedural considerations with injections as an intervention option.
