Description

Charlie Robards has been living with Axial SpA for 30 years, but loves his sport. He is a fierce competitor on the cricket pitch despite suffering with a prolonged recovery from his Axial SpA. This short presentation from the 2025 PCRMM study day, Navigating the Future of MSK Health: Evidence, Experience & Patient Voice, is part of his a burning desire to raise awareness of Axial SpA. He discusses his journey with Axial SpA, what it is like to live with the disease, the different management and coping strategies he has adopted.

He also describes how Axial SpA impacts his work life, and how he adjusts his routine to work efficiently with Axial SpA. Before the Q&A session starts, he also highlights some of this personal challenges and triumphs, as well as his future plans as a patient advocate.
