We are delighted to have the audit’s clinical lead, Dr Jo Ledingham, opening our 2022 series of webinars with this extremely interesting talk about the background of the national early inflammatory arthritis audit (NEIAA), justifying the need for and the potential benefits of it, clarifying what it is looking at and why and offering insights into latest performance and on how data can be used for quality improvement (QI).
Latest figures released from NEIAA highlight significant improvements in referral and treatment times.
The audit, with Year 2 data published recently, is the largest and most comprehensive arthritis audit. It aims to improve patient care and treatment and has collected data from over 13,500 patients, with 96% of Trusts/Health Boards in England and Wales participating.
Jo is the clinical lead for NEIAA, and has a longstanding interest in audit and QI. She is also a Consultant Rheumatologist of 25 years at Portsmouth NHS.
