PCRMM Webinar – Thinking differently about Osteoarthritis

Tuesday 31st January, 7 – 8.30pm. This has now taken place and the recording will be available soon.

This extremely interesting and engaging webinar was given by Zoe Paskins, Tina Hadley-Barrows and Jo Protheroe.

Everybody knows someone with arthritis. Unfortunately, many people assume nothing can be done about it which isn’t the case. We want everybody (whether they have arthritis or not) to understand what osteoarthritis is, why people get it and importantly, what can be done about it. Our 3-year project has used research to co-design an explanation of osteoarthritis with patients and clinicians that is accurate, easily understandable and promotes positive messages about self-management. The explanation is contained within a short video and leaflet for the general public, people who have osteoarthritis and carers and health care professionals.

In this webinar you will hear about how and why the video and leaflet were developed, get a chance to view them and discuss how they may help you have conversations about managing osteoarthritis in everyday life.

Presenters:

Professor Clare Jinks, Professor of Health Research, Keele University
