Monday 27th February, 7 – 8.30pm
Our February webinar is on Gout and promises to be both very relevant and extremely enlightening. It will be given by Dr Alastair Dickson.
Gout is the comment inflammatory arthritis in the UK and it’s becoming more common. In many cases diagnosis is simple and treatment is cheap and effective with the potential for significant improvement in patients’ quality of life. Unfortunately in the UK gout is often either not treated or is poorly treated. NICE recently published their first gout guidelines highlighting these issues. We will discuss causes, best practice for diagnosis, treatment and management including the role of treat-to-target and the importance of educating both patients and healthcare professionals about gout.
