Flippin’ Pain (www.flippinpain.co.uk) is a public health campaign focused on the stark and spiralling problem of persistent / chronic pain.
The objectives of the campaign in short are to raise awareness of the problem of chronic/persistent pain (prevalence, significant and wide reaching impact, poor healthcare outcomes/experience etc.) and engage people (public and professionals) in an understanding of contemporary pain science. Campaign strap lines include “we’re looking to flip the way people talk about, think about, and treat persistent pain”….by “bringing the real science of pain to the people”.
To date events hosted by the campaign have focused on a lay / general public audience, but next month sees the first live event designed and delivered for an audience of healthcare professionals.
